On 2nd August,2021. Tunaweza Foundation visited Mapeera Bakateyamba’s home in Nalukolongo. Mapeera Bakateyamba Home in Kampala, Uganda is run by the Good Samaritan Sisters (GSS) of Nalukolongo. The home’s mission is to be the leading provider for hope, help and friendly services to the elderly, poor, destitute, disabled and neglected people of God without discrimination, following the example of the Good Samaritan. Mapeera Katayemba residents are from Uganda, Burundi, Tanzania, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan. Tunaweza Foundation with support from UN Women Uganda under the CERF Project donated food and essential items, a wheel chair to ease mobility for persons living with disabilities at the home and also made a cash donation towards medical needs of the elderly persons with disabilities at the home.
