Tunaweza Foundation is implementing a project with affirmative action to “Emergency protection and GBV response for women and girls (PwDs) in host communities and GBV shelters” with support from UN Women Uganda. The project will include outputs such as; increased access to emergency SGBV services through integrated and survivor-centered life-saving service delivery, strengthened capacity of existing community-based mechanisms to enhance protection, prevent, and respond to SGBV, and reduced GBV risks through supporting access to protection, time-critical life-saving unrestricted multi-purpose cash transfers for access to basic needs and livelihoods for survivors of GBV. The plan is to reach out to the refugee host communities and urban Kampala, cited as most affected by SGBV during the pandemic.
