Thabo G. Mongatane is a family man, an entrepreneur, a business coach, and a youth development practitioner who advocates for excellence and living a life of purpose. Thabo is an exemplary business leader with a passion for the development of rural committees. He is a founder and executive director of the Johannesburg based management consultancy firm – Kolano Investment Solutions Group. Kolano specializes in business strategy consulting, advisory, start-up business development and talent management. He is a founder of Kumbaya Africa, a start-up incubator for Non-Profit Organisations with beneficiaries in South, East, and West Africa. His passion for leadership and organisational development is demonstrated in his 16 years of services as a mentor, coach, teacher and academic.

He holds an Honours in Accountancy from the University of Johannesburg and a Certificate in Civic Leadership and Engagement from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, a Registered Auditor, and a recognised Business Coach. In 2020 Thabo was recognised as a Top 35 Chartered Accountant Under 35 by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. He is also a Mandela Washington Fellow and sits on the South Africa United States Alumni Connect (SAUSAC) Board. SAUSAC exists to connect alumni from various United States exchange programmes for the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Thabo enjoys farming, music and the outdoors with his family.
